Taking pastoral ministry to the streets
                                                                                                                     ...and beyond

Chaplaincy is a ministry of presence and availability. The main purpose of a chaplain is to listen, care and respond appropriately to a person's needs. Specific duties may include performing liturgies; praying with a person, family or staff; conducting funeral services, providing bereavement counseling and general ministry. The heart and goal of City Care is to mobilize people who have a heart for helping hurting people. The term chaplain, as used here, represent both men and women, ordained and non-ordained, of any faith tradition, religion, or spiritual path.
