Establish Steps

He also brought me out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps (Psalms 40:2).

In the first verse, David is patiently waiting, while crying out to God (who hears and answers His children). It is God who hears and delivers: ever been in a horrible pit (slippery and unable to get out on your own).

Here’s hope; God hears David’s cry and brought him out! Out of the pit and mire.

I love this about God, it is His doing, to lift up the oppressed, place them on a solid foundation “Christ Jesus,” And He also brought me out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps (Psalms 40:2).
